Straight underneath the bridge lies this charming little island that houses some of my favourite restaurants, such as the Sandbar and the yellow Bridges. Among all the things here you can also find a theatre, a brewery, a public food market and of course the Emily Carr university.

I've seen so many great classic movies on film here. Being able to have that experience is one of the things that I feel lucky living in this city.

Nameless pink shop run by a talkative redheaded Piaf who handpicks and sells allsorts of things from the 1950s - 70s - furniture, clothes, sunglasses, lamps. Unpretentious and priced correctly.

Barcelona / Bar

Every seven days a different food truck from the more than 300 that the association of tasty vans has in its database is in charge of the cuisine. In fact, at just 18m2, the Var has the exact measurements of a food truck, plus two entrances. Compensating for the tiny size indoors is the magnificent terrace under the bridge that separates Poblenou from the rest of the city. If you don't follow Van Van Var online, you never know what you'll find to eat if you stop by for a surprise visit, but you will always get a good draught beer.

A small market at the foot of the Sébastopol theater, open every Wednesday and Saturday morning from 7am to 2pm. Polpular and family atmosphere around quality products and inexpensive. In addition the people are charming, very good atmosphere!

Growing up in Arizona I loved collecting rocks and was especially obsessed with gemstones. I have a natural affinity for this section of The Museum of Natural History and it’s oddly peaceful and relaxing even when the museum is packed.

Ting-Ting Cheng was born in Taipei, 1985, and graduated from MA Photographic Studies at University of Westminster, London in 2009. She had lived in London for three years. She is interested in applying photography, text and sound to scrutinize various facets of everyday-life objects and encounters. She has participated in exhibitions internationally, including solo show at Taipei Fine Art Museum in summer, 2011. After the exhibition, she has ‘half’ moved back to Taipei.
