Printed Matter—organizer of the NY and LA Art Book Fairs—is a non-profit supporting the work of artists and independent publishers through the circulation of their books. At their store in Chelsea, you can shop an insanely diverse selection of artists’ books, zines, posters, and more. They’re also always hosting awesome in-store exhibitions and events, from book launches and talks to lectures and performances.

Our line-up comes with a unique choice of independent magazines, artists' books, anarchic papers, fanzines and self produced books branded Emergenze Publishing, our very own publishing house – an eclectic range that can’t be found anywhere else in Italy

A great bakery in Denver's Ballpark District, Hi*Rise is the perfect place to pick up a Jalapeno breakfast sandwich and coffee for breakfast, They also have a variety of delicious sandwiches for lunch, and definitely have the best peanut butter cookies around. Be sure to stop in on a weekend morning for their "waffle weekends", and try a buttermilk, blueberry, or red velvet waffle, served by their always friendly staff.

Patisserie Tomoko is a French/Japanese bakery tucked away at the base of a condo building on Union Avenue. Patrons are seated at a U-shaped bar that overlooks their busy open kitchen, allowing you to feast on their sweet delights, while you sneak peeks at how pastry Chef Tomoko and her talented staff create. Known for their Prix Fixe menu that pairs wines, teas, or coffee with three courses of sweets as divinely delicious as they are beautiful, Tomoko also offers à la carte desserts like my favorite year-round pumpkin pie (unlike any you’ve tried before), or you might choose layered yuzu or green tea cakes, divine cream puffs, and a variety homemade ice creams and sorbets. Freshly baked yuzu doughnuts appear on the weekends. And no matter when you visit, Billie Holiday will likely be singing soulfully to you as you sup.

A gorgeous, summery café, bar and restaurant located in an old ruin at Fårö, Gotland. During daytime, you can chill in one of their hammocks, eating local ice cream, and during evenings, order a jug of sangria, look out over the meadows where cheep run wild and enjoy the live music. Every now and then, they also do BBQs and paella evenings – delicious! If you're around for one of those events, don't miss out on it!

Founded and designed by Japanese-American artist Isamu Noguchi (1904–1988), The Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum preserves the working atmosphere of the artist's former studio in New York.

Being on the ground floor of the building I work in, this Japanese outpost serves as my everything store. I appreciate their minimalist aesthetic coupled with their modest pricing.
