The Viaduct is one of those big pieces of architecture that you notice from afar and ignore close up. So get close for a major neck craning and you'll get that “how the hell did they ever build this…” feeling. When I look up I get vertigo and I doubt the strength of those spindly looking redbrick supports. Preston Road and Beaconsfield Road are good places to look around, and afterwards you can pop into the nearby Signalman pub.

I couldn't decide which coffee shop to feature so here's the first, Store Street Espresso. It's right round the corner from work and a great place to chill out at lunch time and get that kick for the afternoon. Compared with the other independent coffee shops in the area (Wild & Wood/Lantana/Tapped & Packed) the interior's minimal and light which is great. Anyway coffee's really good and so is the food.

A nice way to combine a beach walk and a mountain hike. The hike's elevation will offer a great view of the PCH highway.

This lovely little restaurant is so charming, visually and also with their service. A family run place, which is really very warm and welcoming. We landed here after travelling from london on automobiles, planes, bus, train and a short walk from Monopoli train station - which I was super grateful for as I had luggage and was hungry, ready for some authentic Italian pasta 🍝 and spaghetti is one of my favourite kinds - so comforting. I went for the homemade option and a simple sauce and it was absolutely perfect 👌🏽 In every way ❤️🙏🏽❤️

An awesome, and sometimes free, ferry that links Manhattan at the Financial District to Ikea in Brooklyn via Red Hook. Very great views of the city and if you end up having to pay it's redeemable for a monetary discount towards an Ikea purchase. I think of it as a treat and an investment.

Normal's is a great records-and-books store just off of Greenmount Avenue on 31st street. They have an inspiring collection of used books, all very affordable. One gets the impression that each book was deliberately chosen, and personally read through by the storekeepers. The curation of books and records feels very intentional and meaningful. Formed in 1990 by a collective of nine people who wanted to work for themselves on a project that they cared about, Normal's is distinguished by its discernment.

Most of the food here is meant to be eaten family-style with everyone sharing all the dishes on the table. Most of these dishes are best when accompanied by rice: Northern and Northeastern Thai dishes with sticky rice, Central and Southern Thai with jasmine rice. In Thailand, only a spoon and fork are used: the spoon to eat with and the fork to push food onto the spoon. We encourage you to try this method as it is the easiest way to eat many of these dishes. Some things are traditionally eaten with the hands such as grilled meat and sticky rice. Please ask your server for guidance if you wish. Chopsticks are normally used only when eating noodles, Vietnamese or Chinese food (they will be supplied if appropriate with a certain dish), however chopsticks are available upon request.

Eccentric and surprising house and museum of architect Sir John Soane. Mostly unchanged since his death over 180 years ago, it is full of atmosphere. Also have spotlit, late night openings.

Hi I'm a stills and motion photographer living in Berlin Germany, but have worked for numerous clients, magazines and agencies on projects all around the world.  “Lars’ cinematic photographs follow a timeless aesthetic driven by his search for authenticity. With great practice and understanding of natural light he is looking for that magic moment that is able to touch our minds and hearts. This way Lars creates a broad spectrum of imagery depicting live in all different shades and colours. There is a naturalism in his visual reaction to people, situations or landscapes, which creates the certain strength and universal beauty of his evocative photography. Whether he is working on a large-scale commercial shoot, an intimate portrait session or a personal project, Lars is able to strip away the artificial, get close to the people and capture something real.”  (J.C.)

Adia Trischler is a video and creative director, image consultant, fashion editor, and current host of the official youtube series for the Vienna tourism board, VIENNA/NOW. Originally from New York, she left the city 11 years ago and immigrated to Vienna, Austria, with virtually no understanding of the German language and no idea at all of what to expect. A decade on, she finally speaks German, has directed numerous exhibitions, taught at the Modeschule Hetzendorf, and was awarded the prize for 'Stylist of the Year' at The Vienna Awards for Fashion and Lifestyle. All the while, she has become deeply passionate about exploring her adopted home city. Since June 2016, she has been lucky enough to share this passion with an international audience as presenter for Vienna/Now. The series follows Adia, as she uncovers all of the breathtaking, exhilarating, romantic, and at times, morbid charm that the city is famous for. www.youtube.com/vienna
