Relaxed with character. Tiny garden at the back overlooked by Waterloo train station. Not sure if mother cat still lives there. Nice to go with friends or alone. Books. Good for a coffee and cake or a bottle of beer. Spiral staircase down to basement. One loo serves the place - tip - lock the door, don't just rely on the curtain and save an awkward encounter.  Photo credit: http://www.appletoothpaste.co.uk/2017/05/coffee-scooter-caffe-london.html

Rixdorf is definitely my favourite area of Berlin, because it is a historic village within in Berlin. At the moment it is under heavy construction, and I found this strange, nearly taken-down building sitting in the middle of the quaint neighbourhood.

The First Cemetery of Athens, also known as the Cemetery of the Athenians, is one of the oldest and most historic cemeteries in Athens, Greece. It was established in 1837 and was the first organized cemetery of the modern Greek state. It is located in the central Athens neighborhood of Mets, near the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium. The cemetery is the final resting place for many notable Greeks, including politicians, artists, writers, and scientists. Among the famous individuals buried there are the poet Kostis Palamas, the composer Mikis Theodorakis, the politician Eleftherios Venizelos, and the archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann. The First Cemetery of Athens is not only a place of mourning but also a cultural site with numerous sculptures, mausoleums, and ornate tombs. The cemetery is designed like a small park, with winding paths and shady trees that make it a peaceful and contemplative place to visit. It is also a popular tourist destination, with guided tours available to visitors who want to explore the cemetery's rich history. In recent years, the cemetery has undergone renovations to improve the facilities and preserve its historic monuments. Today, the First Cemetery of Athens remains an important cultural institution that provides a glimpse into Greece's past and honors the memory of its most illustrious citizens.

I came alone and walked up an unassuming flight of stairs to the second floor that opened onto a narrow hallway with a reception desk. Before arriving at the Room, I could already sense the rich smell of damp earth that permeated the space.

I'm an artist/ photographer based in London and Mumbai. I'm Interested in history, current affairs and cultural identity. I'm inspired by my immediate surroundings. I travel a lot and always make work in the places I visit. I often turn my attention towards architecture in order to examine the identity of the places I visit. I work intuitively in a documentary manner as it allows me more in depth involvement with my subject. I only use film/analogue processes, mainly mediaum and large formats. These are preferred as they are more precise and slower and aenable me to take time over the composition, to produce a more thoughtful and deliberate image, as compared with the snapshot/hit and run type of photography.
