What distinguishes the Wolfsonian from any other museum is it's unusual collection of design objects and ephemera dating from the late 19th century to mid 20th century. It's mission is to use objects to illustrate the persuasive power of art and design, to explore what it means to be modern, and to tell the story of social, political, and technological changes that have transformed our world. It encourages people to see the world in new ways, and to learn from the past as they shape the present and influence the future.

A Kilometer stone (circa 1925) stands directly outside Nørreport station, in Copenhagen K. It's easy to pass by, but definitely worth noting if you're in the area — The typographic work on it is incredible.

German Expressionism makes me giddy. All my favorites are here at any given time - George Grosz, Otto Dix, Egon Schiele, Gustave Klimt - and the building was designed Carrére and Hastings, the same architects that designed the New York Public Library.

Istanbul / Cafe

This cafe is a hidden gem; if anything, it’s a testament for exploration: make one turn from Istiklal Caddesi and you’ll find yourself in a completely different place. It’s great for some solitude during the day and the potted trees provide some well-needed greenery. The cafe has daily menu changes, but a decent coffee and breakfast can always be counted on.

Donkey Sanctuary at Highland Garden Reserve in Algies Bay. All the Donkeys are super friendly and love food.

Vintage store off the beaten path, with good prices and cool decorations. Have found many good things here!
