Milan / Cafe

'Un posto a Milano' is a restaurant and cafe in Cascina Cuccagna, an ancient building which is dating back to 17th century. It was originally intended as a residential farmhouse and it is now completely surrounded by the city of Milan.

Moscow / Area

Patriarch's Ponds is an affluent residential area, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the city. It dates back to at least the 17th century when Patriarch Ioakim, the eleventh Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia was settled here. The Patriarch Ponds area (locals simply call it “Patriki”) is the main gourmet center of Moscow, both for tourists and locals. From small coffee corners and secret pubs to posh restaurants and trendy bars – here surrounding the green oasis of Patriarch Ponds park you can find anything you want. The most interesting places are located on Malaya Bronnaya street and its side streets – and all this is just a 10-minute walk from Mayakovskaya metro station.

Tokyo / Place

These are the Icicles of Misotsuchi in Oku-chichibu. They are built up very slowly by water dripping down. The best time to see these icicles is during the coldest part of the year, from about the middle of January to the middle of February. They're located in the in the Arakawa headwaters.

Los Angeles / Beach

Malibu's Point Dume Beach has got to be my favorite all time beach. Its a great place to get away from the city and leave your troubles behind. The beach mostly is a private, but you will definitely find beautiful seals and surfers.

London / Cinema

Close-Up's film programmes present a series of films that shaped the art of cinema and its history. The programmes also include regular special events with filmmakers present to discuss their work. Close-Up is committed to supporting and developing the exhibition of independent and experimental cinema, focusing on the cross over between the arts and film culture.

Sydney / Gallery

My personal favourite Australian artist Ken Done has his gallery in the middle of The Rocks, near Circular Quay. Its constantly updated with his new and old works and well worth a visit!

Zürich / Cinema

One of my favorite movie theatres. Upon entering the doorsteps, the enchantment begins. And the cinema’s outside lettering is simply legendary.

Barcelona / Restaurant

It is like a fish market, you choose the fish, they cook it for you!

New York / Restaurant

Get a piece of the south back with a chicken biscuit from Pies & Thighs.

Margate / Restaurant

One of the best fish restaurants in Margate. A small sustainable seafood restaurant serving delicious, ethically sourced, sustainable seafood, alongside simple, seasonal vegetable-based dishes

New York / Library

I’m a big fan of libraries (tons of books, free to take out, I mean what’s not to love?) and even though you can’t actually take out any books at the big beautiful library in Midtown – it’s still worth a visit. I love walking around in the big halls, the architecture is so beautiful and there’s always small exhibitions or things to see. Don’t forget to look up when entering the main reading-hall. Feels like book-heaven!

Julie Verhoeven is an artist and designer based in London. After studying fashion she began her career assisting John Galliano before working in the fashion industry as a designer, illustrator, creative director and tutor. Verhoeven’s own fashion label, Gibo by Julie Verhoeven, was launched in September 2002, and she went on to collaborate with global brands including, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Mulberry and H&M. Verhoeven has exhibited internationally since 2003, including solo shows at MU, Eindhoven, ZINGERpresents, Amsterdam, and Vera Gliem, Cologne with the publication of 3 books dedicated to her work, 'A Bit of Rough’, 'Fat- Bottomed Girls’ and 'Julie Verhoeven, Gas Book 13’. Seeking to achieve a balance through the transformation from shadow to light believing that the shadow is a dark omen. A powerful teacher. Having spent her life in Costa Rica and outside. Ileana started in architecture and swiftly found Fine Art as the better way to explore her creativity and curiosity. Her artworks are held in private collections throughout the United States, Australia, the UK, Asia and Europe.

Sandra Mickiewicz is a Polish documentary photographer who lives and works in North London. In 2007, her family immigrated to United Kingdom, where she started to develop her skills in painting and drawing. She discovered photography at the age of 15. Since that time, Sandra uses her camera as a tool to communicate with the world. She is drawn into a very ordinary and conventional moments in our everyday life, which she documents by exploring portraiture and landscape photography. In 2018 she graduated from Middlesex University in London where she studied photography. Her work was exhibited in London and the last project called “Happy Club” was a part of Free Range Show in 2018.
