Peres Projects mostly showcases young, emerging artists and is at the forefront of fusing art with fashion, celebrity and the love of a good party, which seems to work very well in Berlin. The gallery was extended into a neighbouring Victorian House space about a year and a half ago, with a real skill in judging the meeting point between the contemporary and the conserved. The architects — 6a — were also responsible for Raven Row near Spitalfields (another favourite place). I'm lucky enough to work part of the week next door, at Camberwell College of Arts. This is about great food and good books. The café — a real haven at breakfast time before work — is run by the nicest team of people, with intertwined relationships to Camberwell. This book, designed by James Langdon, represents the kind of find possible in the bookshop and also the quality of conversation content had, over the best coffee.

It is the connection between Leinestrasse u-Bahn and Tempelofer Feld. The park is wild and quiet, and super relaxing :) it is nice to sit on a bench and do some people-watching: it is a big inspiration for illustrators!

Possibly one of the most interesting places in Europe, its volcanic landscapes may make you feel like being in Mars. But also El Teide itself, the highest place in Spain, and the view of the other six Canarian islands during clear days makes it an amazing place. If you are a photography and/or hiking lover, this is a place for spending hours discovering its different landscapes and views, and there are many hiking routes around, in the National Park area. The most famous is the one from the bottom to the top of El Teide, from around 2.200 to 3.718 meters over sea level.

Teguh Hartanto and Su Tomesen are visual artists based in Jogjakarta. Teguh's mainly works with the media painting and screen printing but he also does street art with graffiti and stencil. He works spontaneously; the outcome is unpredictable and surprising. For him, the process is more important than the result. Su's work consists of videos, photographs and installations, and she travels a lot. Working in the context of a residence abroad or on location is a means of putting her (European) position, ideas and being into discussion. She has been artist-in-residence in Belgrade, Amman and Johannesburg, and worked for an international video art project in Port-au-Prince, Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro.
