Tokyo / Place

This mountain is known as one of the top one hundred famous mountains in Japan. And is one of the highest mountains in the Tokyo area. I went mountaineering at the end of last autumn, and felt cold at the summit. The views changed as winds pushed away thick clouds, and I felt that winter was just around the corner. Scenery is breathtaking. It is recommended as a mountain comparatively easy to climb.

It’s easy to get lost in the density and chaos of New York but there are opportunities to step outside of it for a macro view. Chartering a sailboat on the Hudson is a great way to escape and see the city in a different light, especially at night.

The MCA is situated just in front of the water, with views of the Sydney Opera house and right next to the Harbour bridge. With 3 floors of contemporary art, starting with more emerging artists on the first floor, going up to it's permannent collection on the second and then usually a mindblowing solo show from an established artist or group show. You can finish your visit with a lovely meal and drinks on the fourth floor, which offers some of the best views of Sydney. A go to coffee spot for our family. They specialize in espresso based drinks and baked goods which are made on site. On Saturdays they offer two varieties of homemade doughnuts which are not to be missed. Make sure you get there early. They usually sell out pretty fast.

Free natural ponds, open all year round (check online for varying opening hours according to seasons). Get an absolute get away feeling right in the heart of London, a treat if you enjoy swimming with ducks. Amazing park to enjoy a few games of cards and a walk around afterward too...

Wolfgang Landauer was born near Munich in 1987. Most of his work is based within the fields of typography and photography. After finishing the Bachelor of Arts in Würzburg he is now doing his final Master degree in Mainz. His last freelance job brought him to New York where he was able to work for the magazine "Man of the World". Besides an internship at the "grafisches Büro" and "liga: graphic design" in Vienna his last trip to New York was his greatest experience so far. Wolfgang will leave Wiesbaden in 2014 and wants to explore a new city for career. His bachelor thesis shows the poetic way of his designing.
