The Academy of Athens is one of the most prominent institutions of higher education and research in Greece. It is located in Athens, the capital city of Greece, and was founded in 1926 with the aim of promoting scientific and academic excellence in the country. The Academy of Athens is modeled after the famous Academy of Plato and is housed in a neoclassical building that was designed by the Danish architect Theophil Hansen. This is the (work)shop for students at Academie Minerva (Art Academy Groningen) and is located in their facility. Old prints and typography-families everywhere are so inspiring. All typefaces are located here, including old machines for perfect hand-crafted work.

Adobe Bookshop brings me much happiness. Not only are there a zillion wonderful used books of all kinds, there is the man behind the books, Andrew McKinley. He is the heart and soul, and his wise, welcoming and super fun personality draws all sorts of colorful characters to gather and be eccentric.

One of the most traditional neighborhoods of the city, inhabited by Italian immigrants, is home to dozens of great restaurants and hundreds of properties like houses, churches, theaters and architectural complexes, such as stairs, squares and parks, dating from the early twentieth century. There is also the Don Orione square, which on Sundays since 1982 houses the Arts and Antiques Fair of Bixiga, with period furniture, LPs, clothes, old magazines, toys,silverware and much more. The neighborhood is also home to one of the largest samba schools of the country, Vai-Vai, and during the year you can find the remains of gigantic ornaments used at the party.

One of the most beautiful museums i know (in terms of architecture) is in Den Haag. The architect is H.P Berlage. The superb collection Mondrian paintings couldn’t be more at home as here.

I spent a lot of time at combi coffee while living in Porto. The owners are amazing, the cappuccino with oat milk is to die for and the atmosphere is the best.

Zaryadye Park is a new type of public space created by an international team of architects, engineers, landscape designers and other experts. Here the concepts of nature and technology, education and entertainment, history and modernity are united and complement each other.

Located inside the Gion Kobu Kaburenjo Theater, a well-known hub of traditional Japanese culture, the Forever Museum of Contemporary Art, Gion-Kyoto (FMOCA) is a place that moves all your senses. Walking barefoot on tatami (smelling really good) you are in the middle of a world where time both stops and rushes into the future. Old Japanese theatre (with the beautiful stage) and modern art - isn't it a dreamy combination? I was lucky enough to see Yayoi Kusama's amazing exhibition there that lasts till the end of February 2019 (be quick!). What is more, the museum has a lovely garden that you can contemplate either from the inside or from the outside, with a red umbrella. Ah, what a place!

After a day of skiing in Steamboat resort or out in the surrounding backcountry, take the car or a shuttle bus to the natural hot springs just outside Steamboat downtown. It’s a gorgeous and incredibly relaxing outdoor natural spa where you can bath in differently heated pools. Jump in between the hot pools and the cold river for some extra blood circulations. They also provide massage and you can stay over night at the springs. However, I recommend staying in downtown or by the ski resort and go up to this beautiful spot for a couple of hours in the afternoon or evening. I went there during winter and I’m sure it’s as amazing during the rest of the year. 

A great place with a wonderful view over the roofs of Mannheim. There is also a terrace, which is a perfect place to stop for dinner or some drinks after visiting the "Planken". 

Milk Toast has the best muffins in Melbourne, they often sell out before 9:30am. My favourite is raspberry and chocolate if I can get one in time.
