New York / Bar

A dark (and decidedly hip) bar on the LES, the only light at Beverly’s comes from the glow of its neon signage. The walls of this watering hole are lined with artwork by local artists, but only those whose art has previously been exhibited in galleries. The drinks are cheap and the music is good, and the vibes are perfect for hanging out, chatting, and maybe even getting drunk enough to start a dance party.

6a converted a vacant mews warehouse in Bloomsbury into a set of spaces for the storage and display of art for a young art collector. The warehouse is situated in a cobbled mews, adjacent to artist studios, houses, a piano shop and a pub. Book a tour!

Cultural centre in an industrial town in the north of Spain. beautiful architectural space with a lot of white concrete and geometric lines. Never busy.

Lawrence / Cafe

It recently moved to a space where the ambiance is quite different, but everything on the menu at Milton's is truly delicious. It's definitely been my favorite place to have breakfast and take visitors to since I moved to Lawrence.

Madrid / Art Centre

The city’s old slaughterhouse, now an art centre. It’s a monumental project that somehow manages to survive the financial crisis. They organize interesting exhibitions, talks and other activities. The perfect excuse to go for a walk around the southern side of Madrid.

London / Gallery

My walk through the Heath often continues on to the Camden Arts Centre, a really fantastic exhibition space that runs workshops and courses as well as having a great café and bookshop to boot. I collect their exhibition booklets called File Notes - beautifully designed by James Goggin and Sarah De Bondt - some memorable shows include Eva Hesse Studiowork, The Bruce Lacey Experience and Serena Korda’s Aping the Beast. The latter concluded with a procession from the gallery up to the Heath, culminating in a re-enactment of The Battle of the River Plate in a pond. The Hague / Museum

One of the most beautiful museums i know (in terms of architecture) is in Den Haag. The architect is H.P Berlage. The superb collection Mondrian paintings couldn’t be more at home as here.

Busy, but delicious Vietnamese restaurant. Would recommend the Bún with duck.

A casual and cosy place for good coffee, lunch or a drink later in the day. The entire menu is plant based and absolutely delicious. The vegan steak tartare will make your taste buds explode! Lovely staff too.

A landmarked modernist interior designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Philip Johnson. The former Four Seasons restaurant has been reopened as The Grill. Make your way to The Bar situated at the top of the famous staircase, beneath Richard Lippold’s iconic ceiling sculpture. It is a destination in New York City's architecture and cocktail culture.

Adi Goodrich is a Los Angeles based artist and designer best known for her colorful, iconic set designs. Her work encourages the viewer to look further into commercial imagery to see the craftsmanship and historical reference that is prevalent throughout. Attending The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and La Sorbonne in Paris, Goodrich's work is inspired by the history of art, architecture and design. Goodrich's portfolio is a range of multi-media work which includes large-scale set design for advertising and film, site specific murals, tour visuals for musical performances, photography, furniture design, sculptures and homewares. Alongside her commercial work, Goodrich finds importance in education and has exhibited and lectured in cities worldwide including, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Paris, Barcelona, Cincinnati, Minneapolis and Sydney. Adi is half of Sing-Sing, a creative studio. When two heads are better than one, Adi Goodrich and Sean Pecknold collaborate on various projects in the arenas of photography, animation, children's books, films and other independent creative projects. Danielle Yu is a Los Angeles based artist & model from San Francisco. She is the Co-Founder and designer for The Gilded Fox and has a BFA from Otis College of Art and Design. Notable clients include Skechers, Nike, PacSun, Apple, MAC cosmetics, and Macys. Danielle was also a trophy presenter for the 78th Academy Awards. As an artist, Danielle's inspirations come from travel, art, and music. Botany and architecture are some of her biggest influences. She illustrates and paints mostly in graphite, ink, and gouache. Her work has been featured in LEICA S Magazine, Galore mag, Buzzfeed, and Ellements magazine. Collaborations include Diptyque Beverly Hills, NARS, Celebrity Cruises and PaliHouse.
