Take a coffee or lunch in this beautiful backyard Milanese. 

An ancient theatre up in the mountains of Taormina that I visited in summer 2017. The theatre is a magnificent spot both for its own architecture and history as well as for the view over Sicily.

A really fabulous art gallery located within Sage College campus. A nice airy, huge space, thoughtful exhibitions featuring a diverse group of contemporary artists. The openings are fun and usually free. Keep an eye out for their pop-up Biergarten events in the spring and fall.

My favourite and neighbourhood bookstore. With a good selection of books and a balanced selection of magazines. If possible I buy my books here. I want to support small business. 

A peaceful park in Kingston Upon Thames. You can see lovely houses and gardens across the river. It's a wonderful place where you can take a rest with your family or friends. I recommend you to take a walk after having lunch or dinner in riverside restaurants near to the park. It's not big, however, very enough to feel the beauty of nature. I've done some location drawings here which was quite exciting. Just seat on a bench and enjoy the comfortable atmosphere. 

A little sanctuary for me. I come in here once a week and look around and touch the records and ponder and rarely (sorry to say this) buy anything! I bet they have a nickname for me….

The Turf is hidden away down a tiny ally way in the back streets of Oxford, easily the best pub in the city if you can find it.

Next to the school of fine arts, this vintage bistro throws away: cement tiles, hanging globes and naked bulbs, bar, benches and bistro chairs, etc. On the plate, there are good seasonal products worked with care: celery cooked like a risotto and foie gras, grilled red tuna with roasted beets ...

Surprisingly, Denver has a good art scene, including several very good museums, from the quirky Kirkland Museum, to the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, the Denver Art Museum, and the new Clifford Still Museum. The Kirkland Museum, houses the works of Vance Kirkland, along with a display of international decorative arts, and a history of regional art. The Denver Art museum consists of several unique buildings, with the latest designed by, in part, by Daniel Libeskind, and is known for it's collection of American Indian art. The Museum of Contemporary Art, a three story glass clad structure, is home to a collection of modern art and photography, as well as a wonderful rooftop deck and cafe. Finally, Denver's newest museum addition is the Clifford Still Museum. In 2004 Patricia Still choose Denver to be the home of a museum containing over 2400 of his works, or approximately 94% of his total output. Located next the the Denver Art Museum, and just a short distance from both the Kirkland Museum, and MCA Denver, an entire weekend could easily be dedicated to art in the City of Denver.

One of a series of rivers in the area, situated in the town of Genga (a 15 minute drive from Montecarotto, close to Grotte di Frasassi). When I was younger I liked to go there and draw, and think about the movement of the elements.

Café Duddel is a café and bar near University that looks like if it is hosting generations of students since decades. It feels like a kitchen, living room and saloon at the same time and in the smaller building in the back you can spend a whole day sitting on a cosy sofa smoking, drinking coffee and playing chess. In the evening there are sometimes small concerts or lections too.
