Reykjavik / Harbour

Little outdoor hand crafted play area for kids, down where the fishing boats are docked. Its really nice to hang out here after getting a hot chocolate or an icecream from the nearby amazing icecream parlour, Valdis. My son Johnny Vincent being all cool and viking like!

Amsterdam / Creative Space

Owned by Thomas Gravemaker, this letterpress studio is something to see! You can book a class there, or purchase prints. I personally print my own jobs here with a studio pass :)

Lyon / Park

A secret place with one of the best view of Lyon. And also one of the smalest and steepest park in the city, but so romantic

Vilnius / Cafe

An artisanal bakery, specialising in slowly fermented sourdough, using only a handful of ingredients: salt, flour, water and naturally present yeasts.

Providence / Cafe

Best coffee in Providence, hands down.

London / Restaurant

My favourite no-frills Malaysian restaurant and takeaway hidden away in a basement. Expect to queues for up to 30–40min, but well worth the wait.

London / Cinema

If you fancy a relaxing cosy evening with blankets, hotdogs, cakes and doughnuts and comfy sofas....look no further ;)

Amsterdam / Transport

    Almost every underground station in Amsterdam has a fascinating story behind it. My favourite one is metro station ‘Weesperplein,’ because it has a hidden station underneath the actual station that was meant for the 'Singellijn.' However, that line was never build and the second station remained useless. Besides that the hidden station was also equipped to serve as a shelter during the cold war. The large doors that were meant to hermetically close the building are still visible at both ends of the platform. Other small details, like the panels in the ceiling than can be used as tables when turned around, are also silent references to the building’s former use.  

New York / Theatre

Every seat is a good seat in this small, intimate theater dedicated to dance. Nearly every dance company has filtered through the theater and with a season that lasts about 45 weeks, there's always a performance to see and tickets are very reasonably priced. I prefer a performance at The Joyce then at Lincoln Center any day.

London / Restaurant

Beautiful, calm location for lunch on a sunny day in London. Housed in a former school bike shed on Arnold Circus in Shoreditch. Great seasonal fresh food.

Melbourne / Place

Probably my favourite place in Melbourne, its where I can get away from it all and watch the world go by from above. One could say its my happy place... But the location is a secret.

Barcelona / Museum

Spencer Wohlrab is elongate, legless, carnivorous reptiles of the suborder Serpentes which can be distinguished from a legless lizard by his lack of eyelids and external ears. Like all squamates, Spencer is ectothermic, amniote vertebrates covered in overlapping scales. To accommodate his narrow body, Spencer’s paired organs (such as kidneys) appear one in front of the other instead of side by side, and most have only one functional lung.

An artist working primarily in photography, Laura Letinsky’s ideas and work are formed through a perspective that avails, perhaps insists upon, a particular kind of attention to the act of looking and of picturing. While materially different, in her photographic work, as with materials including porcelain and textiles, she wrangles with the personal and the intimate as it is visually, experientially, and quantitatively defined- and thus, confined-- by the social and the public. Along with making and thinking about art, teaching, designing (clothes, household items), growing (mostly vegetables), endorphins (running), and being a mom, she wonders what to eat for dinner tonight. A Professor at the University of Chicago since 1994, she’s received numerous awards including, recently, the Canada Council International Residency, Kunstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin. She's numerous publications including six monographs, her most recent book is Time's Assignation, Radius Books, 2017.
